Riding Farm Cottages comprise 9 beautiful self-catering holiday cottages in the North East of England. The cottages sleep between 2 - 6 people and have a relaxed spacious country style combined with modern luxuries all graded between 5 Star and 4 Star Gold. The cottages are fully equipped with high-quality furnishings, comfy beds, little goodies are much more. We also welcome pets to some of our cottages, and short breaks are also available.

We have three stunning bed and breakfast rooms available at Riding Farm too. These are all double rooms and include a delicious farmhouse breakfast.

Our cottages are in beautiful locations near Durham, Beamish, Newcastle, Gateshead and the Northumberland Coast. Excellent spots for exploring the history & heritage of Hadrian's Wall, Durham and stunning Castles of Northumberland to Beamish Museum and the cities of Durham, Newcastle Gateshead, and Sunderland. Whether for work or pleasure, catching up with family and friends our cottages will give you a home from home with those added luxuries.

Mumsie , dragon-in-law, wifey & I spent a lovely weekend here as part of our visit to Beamish Christmas Fayre. The rooms are incredibly clean and spotless and so well appointed that we couldn’t think of anything else that they needed !The location was ideal, quiet and peaceful with pheasants outside our backdoor every morning. What more could you want.

We will definitely be back. Totally and wholeheartedly overwhelmed by the experience.

This is our second visit to Riding Farm Cottages, and we will be back. Angus Louise and Isabel seem to know what you need to have a relaxing holiday. We went for Half Term to arrive to one of Isabels lovely cakes, Halloween sweets and pumpkins for the children to carve. Angus later in our holiday took the children for a ride on the tractor and we fed the chickens most days. The cottage we stayed in this time had 2 bedrooms, both had TV which kept the children happy and allowed us a lie in. Spotless clean, lovely hand soaps and toasty warm for our arrival. Loads to do about the area and on the farm. We will be back.

5 Stars! Cottage was well equipped. Lovely decor and a cake awaiting us on arrival. Milk in the fridge too. Really close to Beamish and got discount voucher from the owner. Also not far from Durham. Good selection of dvds to watch and beds very comfy. Would go back for longer next time.

5 Stars! A lovely location, lovely cottage and lovely hosts. We booked last minute with Louise, could not help us enough, we arrived early and Lisa showed us in to our cottage. The cottage was spacious with all we needed including milk in the fridge and a home made cake. We will be back.

This is one of the most friendly places you could stay. The cottages are roomy, clean and well equipped. The Host and Hostess are as friendly as you'll get. We were welcomed with a home made sponge cake! Recommend having breakfast as it's a great way to meet other guests and the breakfast itself is great. The Cottages are ideally placed for exploring the sites and attractions of this lovely part of the country or for leisurely strolls through the countryside or just chilling. We will definitely be coming back to Riding Farm cottages.
